Additional Services
Shared Services
The child care industry in Rockland and Westchester counties -- and in the state and nation as a whole -- is comprised of many very small businesses. This puts the industry at a disadvantage over the long haul, and most especially when facing growth opportunities. Most mainstream businesses in the United States have developed a strong infrastructure that makes it possible to deliver a diverse array of services at multiple, smaller sites. In many cases it was the development of shared services that has enabled many small businesses to remain strong and solvent.
The New York State Office of Children and Family Services recognized this disadvantage and funded our “Shared Services” Initiative to assist selected child care programs with tuition collection services, health care benefits, bulk-buying power, administrative support, hiring new staff, training for their staff and other services that may be requested.
