Legally Exempt Services

When you receive child care subsidy for a child in your care you are also entitled to the following when enrolled with the Department of Social Services:

Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP)

This program will reimburse money to you for meals and snacks that meet Child and Adult Care Food Program guidelines.

The children who can participate include:

  • Two non-related children.

  • Related children (nieces, nephews and grandchildren).

  • Your own children if you are income eligible.

You will also receive:

Free technical assistance
Free nutrition workshop (one annually)
Free monthly newsletter

Health and Safety Kit & Information

The kit may include the following:

  • Fire extinguisher

  • Smoke Detectors

  • First Aid kit

  • Disposable gloves

  • Outlet Covers

  • Cabinet Flex Locks

  • Corner Cushion Set

  • Finger Pinch Guard

We will call you to make an appointment to deliver the items to your home.  If there is available funding,  Basic First Aid/CPR training will be offered.  You are also eligible to borrow  from our lending library at no cost to you.
