What is the Educational Incentive Program (EIP)?
The Educational Incentive Program (EIP) is a scholarship program designed to assist child care providers in obtaining the training and education they need to provide quality care to children. Child care providers must be caring for children in a facility regulated by the New York State Office of Children and Family Services or the New York City Department of Health. Toby Braverman Scholarship Award
Toby Braverman was a very special woman who contributed to Rockland County as a mother, teacher, school director and working member of the Rockland Council for Young Children, (now known as Child Care Resources of Rockland). The Toby Braverman Early Childhood Scholarship has been created to perpetuate Toby's passion for quality in teaching and caring for young children. The Award is given to a graduating Rockland Community College student who has been accepted at an institution of higher learning to major in Early Childhood. The award of $1,000 will be given directly to the transfer institution and is renewable for a second year should grade point average and student commitment remain at a high level. Should the recipient change their major to a field not related to Early Childhood, the reward shall be forfeited back to Child Care Resources of Rockland.
The Terri Lynne Lokoff Child Care Foundation National Child Care Teacher Awards
The Terri Lynne Lokoff Child Care Foundation, a nonprofit foundation that funds non-sectarian, nonprofit child care programs dedicated to excellence, is seeking applications for the National Child Care Teacher Awards Sponsored by Tylenol, a program open to child care teachers throughout the fifty states and the District of Columbia.
