Annual Conference
Child Care Resources of Rockland, Inc. (CCRR) and the Early Childhood Program at Rockland Community College co-sponsor the Annual Early Childhood/School Age Conference at Rockland Community College. In addition to the other technical assistance workshops and seminars offered by CCRR, this conference is a primary source of obtaining continuing education credits and training hours for early care and education professionals in Rockland County and the surrounding Tri-state area.
Over 400 participants from Rockland and the surrounding communities and counties attend. The conference, entitled “Early Years are Learning Years”, offers a broad range of workshops for teachers, center directors, caregivers and parents of infants, toddlers, preschoolers and school age children. Sessions focus on topics such as art, program management, language, infant care, nutrition, cooking, movement, classroom management, professional development, literacy, science and communication. A special series of workshops are geared to staff of school age care programs. A variety of vendors and community organizations participate. Information regarding services for children and families in Rockland County is also available.
