Eat Well, Play Hard

The New York State and Rockland County Departments of Health seek to improve the health and well being of children in early care and education programs through the Eat Well, Play Hard Program.

The goal of the Eat Well, Play Hard Program is to prevent obesity and reduce long term chronic disease risks through the promotion of physical activity and targeted dietary practices for children between the ages of two and five.  The objectives of the program are to increase age-appropriate physical activity, to increase children’s intake of vegetables and fruits and to increase their intake of low fat and fat free dairy foods.
