Children's Legislative Forum
Child Care Resources of Rockland, Inc., in conjunction with the Rockland Children’s Advocacy Network and its members, host a Children’s Legislative Forum in February or March for a discussion about how families, children and the early care and education community are faring in Rockland County.
The community is welcome to attend. Many of the positive outcomes related to child care, Universal Prekindergarten, school age care/out of school time, family support and early education opportunities are addressed. Parents, child care professionals, children’s agencies and school district personnel are invited to participate. County, State and Federal policy makers and elected officials are invited to attend. Students from Rockland County’s school age care programs participate in the forum along with parents, providers and local advocates.
Accessible, affordable, quality child care plays a central role in our community’s safety. It is directly linked to the ability to implement Welfare Reform, to adequately prepare our children for school, and to ensure that our employers are able to recruit and retain employees.
This event is an opportunity to educate providers, parents, businesses and community organizations about early childhood education issues in Rockland County. Certificates of attendance are awarded.
Please join us at this year's Children's Legislative Forum on Friday, March 1, 2013 at the Jesse J. Kaplan School
65 Parrott Road, Bldg. 9,
West Nyack, New York 10994 from 8am - 10am.
