Holiday Bookdrive at Barnes & Noble in Nanuet, NY
CCRR and Barnes & Noble Bookstore in Nanuet are partnering again to collect new books for children in need who attend child care programs in Rockland County. Books purchased at the Nanuet store and donated to the book drive will be distributed to children from birth through eighth grade. The book drive runs from Nov. 1st through Jan. 1st.
During the 2010 holiday season, the Nanuet store had approximately 2000 books donated! The tremendous generosity and community spirit that Rockland County residents have shown to children in Rockland County is remarkable.
We hope you will visit the store that is open from 9:00am - 9:00pm and make a donation to continue this most important initiative to increase literacy in the lives of children..
Child Care Resources of Rockland at Barnes and Noble Bookfair
CCRR and Barnes & Noble have teamed up! Barnes & Noble Bookfairs are held in the Barnes and Noble stores. The vast selection of books, DVDs, CDs, and gifts provides options for everyone and makes finding something to purchase easy and exciting.
When customers turn in a special voucher at checkout to show their support for CCRR, we receive 20% of the purchase total.
We look forward to holding bookfairs two times a year. Some of the activities you may find during our bookfairs are: book discussions, family arts and crafts, games for children of all ages, character appearances and storytimes on the hour.
